Lagerfeld impressed with cool new Dutch Band ‘Moke’
Some bands just get lucky. Take the band from Amsterdam ‘Moke’. They’ve played with their hero ‘Paul Weller’ in London at his invitation. They met another hero ‘Johan Cruijff’ when they were asked to play at the Footballer of the year show in Holland. And what have they got now? Top designer ‘Karl Lagerfeld’ was so impressed with the ‘men in black’ that he has asked if they would be interested in wearing his new hip and cool line ‘K Karl Lagerfeld’.
Lagerfeld wants the line to be represented by people who are ‘naturally cool’. Good choice on his behalf seeing as the band are gaining popularity in Holland by the day. ‘K Karl Lagerfeld’ is a line that wants to be identified with cool music and is focusing on a younger market.
‘Vive la Fete and Deus ‘ are the bands from Belgium that are sporting this new line and international bands as ‘ Feist, Razorlight and The Kills also wear this trendy new ‘get-up’.
Moke are at this moment playing up a storm in the clubs in Holland and will finish the year in style, not only with their new ‘black’ look but with two Christmas shows, the first at the Amsterdam’s Paradiso on the 26th of December and the second at the Tivoli in Utrecht on the 29th.
White Christmas? I don’t think so, it’s gotta be black for Moke!
